Guy Hatfield returns to Distinctive under his much loved Hyper guise with his new single 'Machine', taken from the critically acclaimed album 'The Panic'. Having shot into the consciousness of almost every dance head and aficionado ten years ago with the eponymous Y3K compilation series, he has since released two critically acclaimed albums, remixed everyone from Foals to Futureheads, Pink to Paul Van Dyke and performed festivals worldwide with the Hyper band, featuring Prodigy members Leeroy Thornhill and Jim Davies. Machine is a propulsive crossover breakbeat record that fuses soaring brit rock riffs, live drums and an infections female vocal with cutting edge dance production techniques. Permeating the underground, we have a trio of full-on remixes too. Kazakhstan resident Command Strange delivers a staggeringly effective DnB edit, proving his worth as one of the scene's rising stars. Killaflaw, a Liverpudlian duo, have been making waves whilst operating the the electronic / rock interzone with key radio support from XFM, BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music. Their mix turns the original into a raucous, heavyweight dancefloor screamer. Hailing from Bucharest, Romania, Mesmer has quickly become known as one of the ?nest producers the country has to o?er and has had support from many of the biggest names around: Annie Nightingale on Radio One, Jay Cunning on Kiss FM, Matt Darey's "Nocturnal" and many more. His mix is and slice of ultra-contemporary breakbeat music. Complex, rich and full of movement.
